To achieve our aims, we link with partners involved with young people and with people of disadvantage, and whose core dreams reflect our own.
Together with these partners we devise ways of giving young and disadvantaged people the opportunities and tools to use literature as a catalyst for their own creative and self-affirming expressions.
Creative and innovative projects using individual Dirt Lane Press titles as a catalyst are devised by Dirt Lane Press and our principal partner Community Connect Central West.
Together we further partner with community sectors to develop focused projects approved by our Advisory Board (including youth workers, drug & alcohol workers, educators, psychologists & entrepreneurs). These projects are presented to mentored by authors, illustrators as well as by relevant creatives from the community.
The projects have measurable outcomes that are presented to the wider community in the form of performance poetry, art exhibits, photo essays, film and dramatic performance.
